In this qualitative study, we are interviewing hospitalized or recently hospitalized Latino Spanish-speaking patients and/or care partners who have engaged with specialty palliative care and have a documented serious illness conversation. We ask about their experiences with communication with clinicians, including both primary teams and specialty palliative care, and elicit their needs and recommendations for improving communication. This research project pairs closely with the HMS Faculty Fellowship
