Dr. Borre is a physician scientist dedicated to improving care and the value of care for aging adults. He earned his MD and PhD degrees from Duke University and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Borre practices hospital medicine and is a research faculty member in the Division of General Internal Medicine, the Center for Optimal Aging and Serious Illness, and the Medical Practice Evaluation Center at MGH. His research uses decision science and cost-effectiveness analysis to identify high-value interventions to improve the health and well-being of older adults in the US. He has published on the cost-effectiveness of adult hearing screening in the US and the value of hearing healthcare scale-up globally. Currently, Dr. Borre is investigating the economic efficiency of dementia prevention interventions in the US.
