Ayomide Bankole, PhD, RN

Scholar, 2026

Dr. Bankole is an Assistant Professor at Duke University School of Nursing. Her program of research builds on her clinical experience across hospital and home- based care settings. Her work centers on developing, testing, and implementing home-based models of care that improve quality of life of older adults with complex chronic conditions (e.g., multiple chronic conditions, dementia, cancer), particularly during periods of care transition. Her overarching goal is to advance meaningful, effective, patient-centered, home-based care through research that informs healthcare delivery and policy. In the coming few years, she aims to test the efficacy of her proposed intervention.
