Scholar, 2025
Dr. Gabriela Meade is an Assistant Professor in Speech Pathology and Research Associate in Neurology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Her research focuses on improving differential diagnosis, prognostication, and person-centered management for speech- and language-led forms of dementia. With respect to management, she is interested in the interplay between changes to identity, social participation, and meaning as speaking becomes increasingly difficult. In close collaboration with palliative care and social work colleagues, affected individuals, and their care partners, she is working toward developing meaning- and dignity-centered therapies that address the unique needs of this population.
