Jasmine Vickers, PhD

Dr. Vickers is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama. As a PhD-trained health education scientist, she is committed to developing health promotion interventions that improve the functioning and quality-of life of older adults with physical and/or cognitive disabilities and the family members that care for them. She is passionate about her research in delirium awareness and management among dementia family caregivers and has devoted her graduate, postdoctoral, and early career to advancing this field of knowledge. Her goal is to continue to expand her knowledge and skills in dementia palliative care clinical trial research to develop, test, and refine optimized and effective dementia caregiver health interventions. Dr. Vickers is positioning herself to be a fully funded and independent clinical trials scientist with leading expertise in delirium education among dementia family caregivers in the next few years.
