Jennifer Corcoran, MD, is an Instructor of Neurology at the University of Rochester Medical Center, with a subspecialty in movement disorders and neuropalliative care. She completed medical school and neurology residency at the University of Rochester. During her clinical training, she was drawn to palliative care as an approach to care that addresses the unique needs of patients with neurodegenerative illnesses. This led her to pursue an NINDS T32-funded fellowship in movement disorders, neuropalliative care, and experimental therapeutics. Her research focuses on prognostication and anticipatory guidance in Parkinson’s disease. Her long-term research career goal is to promote informed, goal-concordant care for people with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners.
