Justine Sefcik, PhD, RN

Justine S. Sefcik, PhD, RN is an Assistant Professor at Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions. Her research focuses on developing and testing non-pharmacological interventions for nursing home residents living with dementia and persistent vocalizations. Dr. Sefcik has a particular interest in person-centered nature-based sensory interventions. She plans to also test her interventions in the home setting with caregivers and persons living with dementia. Dr. Sefcik has several publications on topics important to the field of gerontology including: behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia, care of persons living with dementia and their caregivers, innovative interventions to support frail older adults, and post-acute care decision-making.
