Scholar, 2026

Siobhan Patrice Aaron, PhD, APRN, FNP-BC, is an Assistant Professor at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University and a practicing inpatient palliative care nurse practitioner. Her research focuses on improving support for individuals living with serious illness and for family caregivers, with particular emphasis on dementia caregiving, grief, advance care planning, and palliative care delivery across care settings. Dr. Aaron’s work centers on developing and testing patient- and family-centered interventions that address emotional distress, caregiver burden, and the unmet needs of families navigating serious illness and long-term care transitions. Over the next several years, she aims to build a research program that advances dementia palliative care through intervention development, implementation-focused studies, and collaborative, community-engaged scholarship. Her long-term goal is to generate evidence that improves the quality of life for people living with dementia and their families.
