Clinical Research Coordinator
The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the organization and execution of the group’s clinical studies and clinical trials, with a focus on coordinating a range of research projects and other CASI initiatives under the general supervision of the CASI Director and CASI Faculty. They will also work professionally with other faculty and staff and with internal hospital divisions and departments to ensure that all health system protocols are followed.
Postdoctoral Research Training Opportunity
Bridging the Science-to-Service Gap: Prevention, Optimization and Living Well with Persistent or Serious Illness (Bridge-The-Gap) is funded by a T32 training grant award from the National Institute on Aging. It is focused on training scientists to conduct clinical and behavioral prevention interventions across the continuum from health to illness across all care settings (hospital, nursing homes) and in the community for older individuals or those with persistent or serious illness, and their care-partners. Fellowships are 1-3 years in duration. Applications are due by April 15th for funding to start July 1, 2023.
Postdoctoral Research Scientist – Social Work PhD
The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the organization and execution of the group’s clinical studies and clinical trials, with a focus on coordinating a range of research projects and other CASI initiatives under The successful Postdoctoral Research Scientist will have experience in the field of clinical social work as well as gerontology and a career interest in aging and serious illness research. The incumbent will serve as an interventionist, participate in scientific analysis and manuscript development with data from several NIH and institutional grant funded studies focused on the effects of aging and the care of patients with serious illness, with a particular emphasis on dementia. Specifically, the goal of the research program is to use mixed methods research to understand the needs of those living with serious illness and their caregivers, develop new interventions, improve current treatments, and explore new questions at the intersection of aging and serious illness. Study methods include qualitative methods, longitudinal cohort and clinical trial design, observational studies, and intervention & implementation design methods. general supervision of the CASI Director and CASI Faculty. They will also work professionally with other faculty and staff and with internal hospital divisions and departments to ensure that all health system protocols are followed.
