Katherine Ramos, PhD Program Faculty

Ramos

Dr. Ramos is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University School of Medicine. She holds secondary appointments in the Departments of Medicine (Geriatrics and Palliative Care Division) and Population Health Sciences. As a geropsychologist, she develops and evaluates novel behavioral interventions to help older adults, their partners, and families cope with the psychosocial stressors of chronic and life-limiting illnesses. She is funded by the National Institute of Health and the Glioblastoma Foundation. Additionally, she holds several leadership positions including former chair to the special interest group of Palliative Care with the Society of Behavioral Medicine and has been recently selected as the incoming President to the Adult Development and Aging (Division 20) of the American Psychological Association.
